An interview with Eri
The concept of ‘garden therapy’, the idea that gardens can be a place for people to find solace, tranquillity, a space for reflection and recuperation is of huge interest to me. In today’s hyper-connected world, gardens can act as a much-needed tonic for everyday stresses. Helping clients to create an outdoor space that enables them to mentally recharge as individuals whilst enjoying nature, I feel is very important as a designer.
Gardening can also be a cathartic process. So, even once a garden has been created, it can continue to grow alongside its owner and has the capacity to provide immeasurable enjoyment even through the seemingly simple act of pruning a rose.
